For many colleagues who have had initial contact with the mold industry or have played functional management or sales positions, their understanding of molds is largely vague and difficult to understand. Therefore, many mold businesses will require staff to intern on the production site at the beginning, and only during the internship can they understand the basic knowledge of molds. Here are some images of mold principles to bring the same awareness to everyone

Stamping die

Stamping dies, according to their process properties: punching die, bending die, drawing die, forming die, riveting die

1. Stamping mold: a mold that separates material production along a closed or open contour. Such as stamping dies, punching dies, cutting dies, cutting dies, trimming dies, cutting dies, etc.

2. Bending mold: The blank or other blank is bent and deformed along a straight line (bending curve) to obtain a certain angle and shape of the workpiece mold.

3. Wire drawing mold: The blank is made of open hollow parts or hollow components to further change the shape and size of the mold.

4. Forming mold: The blank or semi-finished product protrudes according to the shape, and the concave mold shape is directly copied and formed, while the material itself only produces local plastic deformation of the mold. Such as convex molds, necking molds, expansion molds, undulating molding molds, folding molds, plastic molds, etc.

5. Riveting mold: It involves using external force to connect or overlap parts in a certain order and manner, forming a whole.

According to the degree of process combination classification, molds can be divided into four categories: single-mode, composite mold, progressive mold, and rotary mold.

1. Single process mode: During the press process, only the stamping process of the mold can be completed.

2. Composite mold: With only one workstation, two or more stamping processing molds can be completed simultaneously at the same workstation in one stroke.

3. Progressive mold (also known as continuous mode): In the feeding direction, two or more workstations are used in the press to complete the second and second stamping processes on different workstations.

4. Transmission mode: Combining the characteristics of single-mode and progressive molds, a mechanical arm conveying system is used to achieve rapid product delivery inside the mold, which can greatly improve product efficiency, reduce production costs, save material costs, and ensure stable and reliable quality.

According to different processing methods, molds can be divided into five categories: stamping dies, bending dies, drawing dies, forming dies, and pressing dies.

1. Punching and cutting mold: It is used to complete the cutting action and is commonly used in cutting molds, cutting punches, stamping molds, trimming molds, whole molds, stamping molds, and stamping molds.

2. Bending mold: Flat hair is bent into an angle shape. Depending on the shape, accuracy, and production volume of the part, there are many different forms of molds, such as ordinary bending molds, cam bending molds, curling molds, curved bending molds, bending punch heads, and twisting molds.

3. Extraction mold: The pumping mold is made of a flat head blank at the end of a seamless container.

4. Molding mold: refers to the use of various local deformation methods to change the shape of embryos, the shape of convex molding molds, the edges of molding molds, necking molds, hole flange molding molds, and circular molding molds.

5. Compression mold: Using strong pressure to make the metal hair flow and deform into the desired shape, the type of extrusion mold, embossing mold, stamping mold, and mold end.
